Please note that because the Township provides an annual financial contribution to the Bloomsburg Public Library, located at 225 Market Street, membership is free of charge for all Township residents. The Library website can be accessed through the Links page on this site.
In addition, the County provides a free public library, the Columbia County Traveling Library, which has a walk-in location at 702 Sawmill Road, Suite 101. This Library website can be accessed through the Links page on this site.
CURBSIDE LEAF COLLECTION will begin Monday, October 17, and continue through Wednesday, November 23. The leaf truck has a set rotation throughout the Township, but we cannot guarantee any specific day of the week for your area. The frequency of collection depends on the number of properties requiring pickup and the amount of leaves at each property. Thank you for your patience.
WE REQUEST THE FOLLOWING:
- Arrange leaves in a row rather than a large pile, as close to the road as possible.
- Remove all stones, branches, and other foreign objects from leaves. They damage blades and bearings and could halt the leave collection program.
- Please note: Bagged leaves will no longer be collected.
IN ADDITION TO CURBSIDE REMOVAL, residents may bring leaves to the Bloomsburg Compost Site located on Sands Street. The access is off of Ft. McClure Blvd. Starting October 5, 2022, the site is open Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
