Please note that because the Township provides an annual financial contribution to  the Bloomsburg Public Library, located at 225 Market Street, membership is free of charge for all Township residents. The Library website can be accessed through the Links page on this site.

In addition, the County provides a free public library, the Columbia County Traveling Library, which has a walk-in location at 702 Sawmill Road, Suite 101. This Library website can be accessed through the Links page on this site.

TRICK-OR-TREAT SCHEDULE:  October 31, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  For residents who choose not to participate due to COVID concerns or other reasons, please make sure your porch lights are off.  And for trick-or-treaters, please respect people’s right not to participate!

NOTICE:  DUE TO THE INCREASING  NUMBER OF COVID-19 CASES IN COLUMBIA COUNTY,
THE MUNICIPAL OFFICE BUILDING IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.

Police Station: PLEASE CALL 911 IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY. The Police Station is located at 2697 Columbia Blvd. Officers can be reached for non-emergency matters at 570-387-1929.

Tax Payments: Tax payments will be accepted by mail only to the address on your bill, 2626 Old Berwick Road. Enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope if you require a receipt.

Zoning Permits: Applications can be printed from the link on this website on the Forms and Applications page.

Sewer Bill Payments: Please pay by using the drop box in the municipal building vestibule or by mail.

NOTICE:
Please note that no grass clippings will be accepted at the Scott Township building or the Bloomsburg compost site this year.

MANDATORY RECYCLING
As of January 1, 2014, recycling is mandatory in Scott Township. The Ordinance requires all residents to contract with a registered authorized collector for removal of garbage and recycling. Please visit the following link for a list of registered authorized collectors:
